Knox Print Media’s strategy is to build a printing Group with a portfolio of businesses that lead attractive market niches in the printing industry. Knox Print Media will realise operational efficiencies and synergies across businesses and improve industry attractiveness in the target market niches.
Knox Print Media has key leadership positions in the Short Run Book Printing and Grand Format Digital Printing markets. Knox Print Media has acquired market leaders Ligare Pty Ltd, Cactus Imaging Australia and the Omnigraphics NZ Group, and the subsequent acquisition of smaller competitors such as Southwood Press Pty Ltd and Cactus New Zealand.
Our companies are led by experienced professionals that bring together years of experience in fields such as printing, business integration, deal making and strategic forethought. This ensures the Group has management talent along with a robust group corporate governance structure.

The short-medium run book printing niche focuses on print jobs of under 5,000 units, and refers to all low-volume book or ‘book like’ print jobs, including manuals, handbooks and catalogues. Short-medium run book printing typically requires a shorter lead time, higher specialisation and increased customer involvement.

Digital printing is generally used in situations when smaller customised quantities and quick turnaround times are required. Grand Format printing refers to printing sizes greater than what a conventional “office” digital printer is able to produce.
Generally, printing in excess of 1 meter wide frequently requires much more specialist equipment than simple digital printing. Specifically, Grand Format printing is the production of outdoor advertising products such as billboards, signs, banners, street furniture and bus advertising.
